Fused Glass Art Workshop- Retreat Weekend
Come create you own beautiful glass art project. You will get to choose your own project type (basic tack or full fused styles, or more advanced mosaic fused glass, and fritography style). Because projects vary so vastly and so does the price of various types and colors of glass, I have decided to offer a base price for this glass fusing workshop which will cover my instruction, use of my glass studio and all the tools needed to create your project.
Then you choose your project and pay for the materials for your project separately. Depending on your work speed and chosen project I would anticipate your project to take 2-4hrs for a very basic fused glass creation style ($80) and at least 4-6 hrs+ to create if you choose to do one of the more advanced types of projects (4-6hrs would be a small 6 in tile size piece) ($125-$250).
I am offering this as a “drop-in” weekend workshop where you can come and use my studio over the course of a Friday evening and Saturday day for as much time as you need. Friday will be the night to come for the basic fusing instruction and if you want to do more advanced fusing projects plan on Friday night and Saturday.
+Base price for simple fused glass instruction and a small “basic fused glass” style project (maximum of 6in x 6in) or several small fused glass pieces (i.e. coasters, jewelry, etc that take less than a 6 in square in my kiln), includes use of the studio and glass tools for up to 3hrs+ one firing (this is about a 13 hr process)=$80. * Glass materials for your project are not included in this base price.
+Base price for your own private firing of a simple “basic style” fused glass piece (maximum of 12in x 12in) or several smaller basic fused glass pieces that fill one kiln load 12 x 12 in sq), this includes up t0 6 hours of studio time + one full kiln firing (this is about a 13 hr process)=$180. * Glass materials for your project are not included in this base price.
+Base price for a small (up to 6x 6in) more advanced style (i.e. mosaic or fritography) fused glass project instruction, studio time up to 6hrs and glass tool use= $125.* Glass materials for your project are not included in this base price.
+Base price for your own private firing of an advanced fused glass piece (maximum of 12in x 12in) or several smaller fused glass pieces that fill one kiln load 12 x 12 in sq), this includes up t0 12 hours of studio time + one full kiln firing (this is about a 13 hr process)=$250. * Glass materials for your project are not included in this base price.
